With the purchase of some basic equipment such as video cameras, laptops, microphones, and graphic tablets, in addition to software licenses, KNUST OER has been geared up to produce high quality openly-licensed educational resources for sharing. The College of Health Sciences (CHS) and the Department of Communication Design (DeCoDe) have explored having students teams work faculty to co-develop OER with the collaborative aim of supporting OER production.
In the OER production that emerged, CHS faculty will still develop the educational content, but an OER media specialist or team of DeCoDe students assists with images, videos, sound, and packaging for the learning modules.
